@shesnotcrazyseries: PMDD isn’t bad PMS. It’s the brain collapsing in response to her own hormones. Two weeks a month. Suicidal thoughts she didn’t have on Tuesday. 1 in 20 women have it. Most are undiagnosed. Across her life that’s roughly 8 years lost. She isn’t unstable. She’s running a brain her own chemistry attacks. #shesnotcrazy #cycleawareness #marriage #understandingwomen #pmdd

It sucks so badly! It is like the entire world is ending and I'm the only one who notices. And I am so angry all the time. And I think I'd be used to it because it's been happening for 23 years, but no. It's always a shock and then once my period starts it's like: oh. I wasn't insane. ok. time to keep going. And that doesn't even account for the PCOS I have and the endo diagnosis I'm trying to get, along with the multiple other things going on at the same time.

PMDD is closely connected to trifecta: Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). It's VERY important that you educate yourself about these conditions, how they effect your PMDD and come with notes (and a person to support you) before seeing the GP bc, sadly, most GPs are uneducated. You need to be prepared to be challenged and told you're wrong, but you DESERVE to see the specialist. Ordinary blood tests are useless.

My PMDD started after I had my son. It is like I am a different person for a couple of weeks every month. Its the worst emotional rollercoaster ride, every month. I basically live for the couple of weeks when I feel normal and do as much as I can in order to compensate for the inability to function for the other weeks.

I developed pmdd during perimeno after being off of work for 8 years with a neurological condition, two types of battling chronic migraines and 5 ankle reconstructions. my ADHD don't care. collapse is accurate. half the month also accurate.

I was diagnosed with PMDD 23 years ago. Had a hysterectomy. Best thing I’ve ever done. Changed my life for the better!

More like 1 in 5. Most women aren’t told, improperly diagnosed unless they start researching and asking questions themselves
