@_indiana.joan_: The Bone Museum is owned and operated by JonsBones, which, until a few days ago, bought and sold human remains. Curiously, their entire inventory has been hidden, and now The Bone Museum’s website states, “The bones aren’t for sale, but the merch is!” What brought about this very recent change, I’m not sure; however, I highly doubt this individual has ceased the selling of human remains. I suspect he is setting something else up and separating the museum from the business, but of course, we don’t know what his next move is. I strongly encourage you to read Dr. Agarwal’s article (Agarwal, S.C. (2024) “The bioethics of skeletal anatomy collections from India,” Nature Communications, 15(1), p. 1692.).
