When I was a teenager, me and my bf were dropping his cousin off at her friend's house & while leaving, we turned the wrong way & ended up in a dead-end street. While turning around in a driveway, I noticed a bunch of cops in the persons backyard & we got like 2 houses down when suddenly multiple SWAT trucks, so many cop cars & SUVs come swarming down the street & completely block the street. The SWAT team begins loading their weapons so close to my car that I couldve reached my hand out & touched them 😂 Just then, a man w/a rifle comes out of the home we had turned around at & begins pointing it around threateningly. I asked a SWAT guy what we should do & he told us to just "sit tight" 😭 So we were trapped. The standoff took what felt like forever, they even brought his friend to get on a megaphone to try to talk the man into putting the rifle down. Eventually a neighbor saw us, and yelled for us to run to their porch for shelter & to get further from the situation. It turned out, the man had been holding his wife and kids hostage in the home. Thankfully they were okay. After ages, & making the cops promise like 10 times that they wouldn't "do anything" to him, he put the weapon down and omfg so many cops just like PILED on top of him as he screamed "you PROMISED, YOU PROMISED, YOU LIED"
