Worked 5 hours at a new coffee shop in my town. They tried to put me on register less than an hour into my first day and got mad when I said no. Nobody tipped, and they pay MINIMUM WAGE. No breaks unless you work 6 hours, no smoking anywhere on property (including outside). It was simply not worth it.

I work for the post office. its the hardest job I've ever had. I thought I could hold out but its record heat, I almost threw up, I delivered heavy packages and that was fine until I went into the station and they informed me that even after scanning some items they never were scanned out and since im new I dont have to leave out to go to every package spot and scan them again. this is 8:30pm after being up since 8am. im quitting monday

3 weeks into working as a CNA at an assisted living I got employee of the month. 2 months in I was training new hires. I left the 3rd month after they never gave the raise they promised me.

I worked at an overnight warehouse, the kind that you get all your spam mail from. I was there for TWO days before I quit. The reason I quit is because I got a call from my aunt an hour or two before my shift was meant to end letting me know that my grandpa who was in the hospital for Covid had passed away. I started balling my eyes out in the middle of the warehouse. My manager came up to me, scoffed, told me I wouldn’t be crying if I wasn’t on my phone and offered zero sympathy. All of the grown men were looking at me like I was crazy. I left and never went back.

So as a millennial stuff like this didn't happen a lot but I was on a list and I was number five. Mind you I got along with basically everyone, but one day I walked up to a girl who was sitting in the hallway as we, did before school started everyday, everybody in their little clicks. she would have been considered probably Gothic in today's standard she looked exactly like the girl from The Craft I mean identical. anyway I saw her ripping pages of the Bible out to smoke in the hallway of the school and all I said was I'm sure somebody has some papers if you ask you really shouldn't be ripping up pages of the Bible to roll up. normally I wouldn't say anything however there's just some things you don't do she didn't like that very well. so I shrugged it off after she got big mad and went about my business. Next thing we knew there was an announcement, that something had happened it was being handled and if we needed to know more they would let us know. ends up she gets suspended for a few days we didn't even know what happened until we got news that one of our fellow students had passed away. back then obviously there's no social media or anything we didn't know what was going on come to find out her parents flipped out and her poor 5 year old little brother found her when you want to get her to walk him to the bus stop was very sad thing something that just sticks with you forever.
