I’ve always wondered did Plato originate his ideas or did he release what was previously ancient esoteric knowledge to the world.

Amazing breakdown! I'm convinced of Plato's theory more and more each day. I think our own consciousness provides good reason to believe that Plato's theory is correct. Take for instance a triangle, no matter how hard we try we can't create a perfect triangle in physical material reality. Even if you construct a triangle using the best materials and most advanced machinery, it will still be flawed because of the limitations and crudeness of matter. It will never have perfectly straight lines, edges, etc. We can recognize it's flawed because it does not align with the ideal form of the triangle in our minds. It's something we immediately recognize as being "off" and not perfect. Yet where does that recognition & knowledge come from? If we have no physical examples of a perfect triangle or any shape for that matter in material reality, how do we even have the knowledge that the perfect ideal exists in the first place? We shouldn't be able to conceive of it, yet it's an immediate recognition for us in our conscious awareness that the shape is not perfect and falls short of the ideal. This lends credibility to Plato's explanation that we must have already received prior knowledge of the forms from a perfect immaterial realm in order to have knowledge of something that doesn't exist in this imperfect material reality. If that's true it also implies that our consciousness itself is immaterial and separate from the physical brain since it's capable of knowing & perceiving immaterial realities. Which also implies that mind-body dualism is true. However that's another topic for another day. Maybe you can make a video on that sometime?

How do you approach a new book when the previous one is still occupying so much mental space? Do books ever linger in your mind while you’re reading something else?

I could be wrong but he believed that Art is an imitation of an imitation, because it copies the physical world, which itself is only an imperfect reflection of the Forms, raises eyebrows if you ask me lol

You misunderstand Plato. I'm sure he was aware of the impossibility to talk about the ideal, the good. That is also an allegory. You cannot talk about anything outside time, the absolute truth. You can only live it.

While his critique of human ignorance remains highly accurate, modern thinkers strongly debate his solution.

Knowledge is necessarily fallible and therefore only practically adequate, since the possibility always remains that deeper or underlying causal mechanisms have yet to be identified. From a critical realist perspective, however, this does not render knowledge unusable. Rather, through judgemental rationality, we can critically evaluate competing explanations and locate knowledge within the concrete, historically situated conditions in which social phenomena emerge, thereby establishing its practical adequacy while remaining open to further theoretical and empirical development.

our ideas of something is what is perfect, to make a chair, would be an attempt to create that idea, but it would never be exact, and further, my idea of that chair, is mine, not yours, so therein, the endless discussion starts, ❤️i actually love your posts and therefore your mind , what you share 🥰
