@lauren.digitalsales: When I was pregnant I thought maternity leave was something I'd figure out when I got there. I was focused on the pregnancy. Excited to meet my baby. Counting down the weeks. And completely unaware of how quickly maternity leave would eventually pass. I just assumed I'd go on maternity leave, enjoy every second with my baby and somehow figure the rest out later. But later comes around much faster than you expect. Before I knew it, people were asking: "So when are you going back to work?" And honestly? The thought of leaving my baby absolutely broke my heart. Not because I hated my job. Not because there was anything wrong with going back. But because I wasn't ready. The mistake I made was waiting until I felt that panic before I started looking for other options. Because by then, I felt like I was racing against the clock. Looking back now, if I found out I was pregnant tomorrow, I'd do one thing very differently. I'd spend a little bit of that time learning a skill. Not to build a huge business. Not to replace my income overnight. Just to give myself more choices. Because having options changes everything. It's a lot easier to make decisions when you're choosing what you want to do rather than what you have to do. That's exactly why I started learning about digital products and Canva. Things like planners, invites, guides.. And what started as me wanting a little bit more flexibility has ended up helping me: ✨ Extend my maternity leave ✨ Reduce my working hours ✨ Clear debt ✨ Create extra income from home The crazy thing is, none of that happened because I had some special skills. It happened because I stopped waiting until I "needed" another option and started creating one.
