@fastpitchpower: If you are a curve pitcher, it might be easier than you think to add in a drop curve! The drop curve is such an underrated pitch in my opinion. Pitchers who can master this pitch and really put it to a good height and location get a loooot of K’s with it And the best part: it’s really not that different from a curve! The body position is the same You still have a crossover step The 2 main differences? 1️⃣ the hand turns over as your spinning instead of staying palm up. Think similar to a turn over drop 2️⃣ instead of finishing at the hip, your hand finishes slightly lower at the upper thigh That’s it!
