A lot of you just don’t get it. I have worked in the hospital with mothers in postpartum psychosis. They are not in reality! We have to restrain them to the hospital bed. It doesn’t matter if she “planned” it. She was out of her mind and should have been in a facility. Sad sad. Consider yourself lucky to have never known or truly seen psychosis

My ideal outcome is she gets sentenced to a mental institution forever. That’s just my opinion. I think she was in psychosis and didn’t ignore the little voices in her head. The system failed her and she failed her kids by taking their lives. Two things can be true.

The doctors told the husband to not leave her alone with the children. She is just as much as a victim as her children. Everyone around her has failed her.

This is a case of medical malpractice or negligence at the very least. She got help like she was supposed to. She did her part. Her doctors are the reason those children are dead. They prescribed her 13 different medications. If she was that far gone she should have been admitted for observation.

I survived postpartum psychosis and if it weren’t for family, friends, inpatient stays, proper medication, and my partner taking a leave of absence of that I wasn’t alone with my daughter is the reason I’m not in her shoes. People who haven’t had a literal voice in their head constantly telling them to do horrible things will never understand.

If she is locked up so should be her husband and her doctors. PP Psychosis is not something to be brushed off. There needs to be accountability other than the victims.

I understand that what she did was wrong, but she begged and pleaded for help that she didn’t receive. This is true of a lot of people with mental health issues. Nobody takes their mental health seriously until something tragic happens.

I’ve been thru psychosis twice after kids. Cannot blame postpartum in my case. I am a very capable smart person who didn’t have a mind of my own at those times. I have never been physically violent and I ended up twice in a four point hold. I remember every second of each episode as well until they sedated me. I have so much compassion for her. She was FAILED.
