Moved 10 doors down from parents. My dad wanders round, let's himself in side gate mows the lawn, gets a pint of squash and sits in conservatory fussing the cats while I'm working from home on a meeting 😂

My Dad (&mum) came on holiday to Disney with me and my partner. We sat front row together on his favourite rollercoaster and he recorded my fiancé proposing to me on his phone with tears in his eyes. Very aware how lucky I am to have my Dad😭🥹

When I lived at home, my Mum used to charge me rent when I got a full time job to ‘pay my way’. Dad used to give me the money back because it ‘wasn’t my fault they chose to have me, so I shouldn’t have to pay’ 😂😂 Anytime my Dad gives me money, it always ends with ‘don’t tell your Mother’ 😂

Constantly getting ring doorbell notifications from my dad going round to decorate / fix stuff 😂. He put me 3 new plug sockets in yesterday and is coming round to sort my lawn today. I’ll pay him with a bacon butty and “one of them latte things” 🥰

I said I didn't need anything for Christmas last year. My 85 year old dad turned up with this and said he'd noticed the one I used for my ponies was wobbly so he researched and got me a good quality one which would last me longer. 🥰🥰 That's how my dad tells me he loves me. 🥰

My dad is a painter and decorator. His way of saying “I love you” is to visit my house and say “I’ll come and paint this for you next week Babi” when entering a room I painted a few months ago 😭😂

I live 2 min drive from my parents. My dad cuts my grass every weekend and just recently spent 6 hours building me a shed. My son’s bikes broke a few weeks ago and he was over within minutes to fix it. My washing machine started leaking and was over within minutes again to sort it out. He will always fix my problems and help make my life easier because in his own words “I didn’t have you just to stop helping you when you turned 18. You are my baby for life” I would be utterly lost without him
