You will get less hearing damage from a FLAC file than a MP3 file played at high volumes. Look it up.

I think FLAC is overrated. I prefer AAC or Opus. It's compressed either way, but AAC and Opus enhances vocals and drums and it's easier on the ears compared to FLAC that sounds too sharp IMO.

No one can hear the difference between audio formats as long as the parameters within the format is set to high quality. If I present to you 320kbps mp3 versus flac versus wav, I guarantee you wont know the difference. wave and flac are like raw in photography, you only use them in production. As soon as you make a final version for consumer, you make mp3.
