Let the presidency come out clear to make this explanation for the citizens regularly. people will not take you seriously because you are not the minister of power and their mouth piece. Since the president has taken it to be his first priority in his campaign, he should monitor all the governors to implement it. The citizens might not have all it will take to hold the governors accountable but the president have. You cannot say "and he solved it" when the people have not seen the power. You cannot continue to use this your defencive mechanism. If you say, the process is in progress, I will align with you, but don't say, we cannot hold the president responsible. Tinubu may not be the best president ever but HE IS A VICTIM OF IGNORANCE - the ignorance of Nigerians. Imagine if the 12 of the 36 state governments had taken advantage of the liberalisation of the power sector. The story would have been different because with the increase in resources given to state governments, some of them have the capacity to invest in the sector.
