@alogibson: 3 foods I will never eat again after being diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. And here’s what makes this different, I already knew. I’m a certified nutritionist & I’ve preached this to my clients. Awareness isn’t armor. But it does change how you move forward. 1. Processed meats: Bacon, hot dogs, deli meat. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies processed meat as a Group 1 carcinogen meaning it is directly linked to causing colorectal cancer. Eating just one hot dog or two slices of deli meat a day raises your risk by 16%. 2. Ultra-processed foods: Fast food, packaged snacks, chips, frozen meals. A 20-year study published in JAMA Oncology found that people with the highest intake of ultra-processed foods had a 45% higher risk of developing precancerous colon polyps. 45%. 3.Sugary drinks: Soda, sweetened juices, energy drinks. A study published in the journal Gut specifically linked sugary drinks to early-onset colorectal cancer, the kind that shows up in younger people. The goal isn’t to eat what a label calls “healthy.” Labels lie. The goal is whole foods, real ingredients, minimal processing, the kind of food that doesn’t need a paragraph on the back to explain what’s in it. And let’s be honest, we are human. Having any of these a few times a year is not going to give you cancer but your daily habits will shape your health over time. That’s where the balance lives. Do your own research. Talk to your care team. And if this made you think twice, save it because it might matter for someone you love too. #cancerwarrior #chemotherapy #cancerjourney #coloncancer #cancercommunity

The older I get the more I realize food affects everything 😅 I wasn't dealing with anything major, but I definitely struggled with feeling heavy, exhausted and stuck in a cycle of cravings. Reading Eat Like a Woman Protocol by Loren Green ended up being a huge turning point for me. I lost 30 lbs, my skin improved and my energy became so much more consistent. Best thing I found in a long time, feels like a woman best friend.

I gave up processed foods, fast foods, and sugary drinks. i only eat organic fruits, vegetables and whole ancient grains. and some nuts. No bad seed oils either. I was diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. 6 weeks after giving up processed and fast foods my kidneys are healthy.

Even your mango your cutting up. It’s sprayed with pesticides. You need to soak it in a vegetable wash. Get all the grime off it because pesticides soak through the skin

people like to oversimplify the problem, it's not a specific food as more it's the chemicals they put into those! for example homemade bacon is fine (beside cholesterol problems) because it's not sprayed with bunch of chemicals to not go bad
