Jump up 2 nozzle sizes in those locations. We do that on rear boom applicators and get along better. Sometimes 2 nozzles behind each tire track get upsized. Problem solved.

Don’t use air induction nozzles. They suck dirt and dust in in my opion

I put part of plastic bag over top and zip tie it over cap. Haven't had a problem in two years now. before was plugged every day.

Cut a hole in a tennis ball and put it over the top of the nozzle body to keep dirt out of the plunger but it allows the pressure to move it.

I think those poppets are what get gummed up with dirt and quit working. Just clean them out more I guess?

I used to work at a fertilizer plant for 17 years and then start farming full-time but we ended up using a flood nozzle back there. I can’t remember what the number was we used we took that fan flat fan nozzle out and put a small flood nozzle there.

We run a larger tip and it can be covered in dust and dirt still sprays

John deer exact apply. I set the two nozzles behind each rear tire to 20% extra product whenever round up is in the tank. On our conventional sprayer I use tip size 6’s behind the tires, rest of the boom is size 4’s.

It’s not the nozzles plugging, it’s the diaphragm in the nozzle body itself that gets plugged from sucking in dust. Screw the cap off and rinse the diaphragm out with water every morning.

I run filters right before the nozzle, and clean them daily

I had luck with a plastics bag zip tied around thee top. That kept the dust out of the diaphragm

Our millers had two nozzles behind the tires and we ran deflected flat spray nozzles. Worked pretty good for us

I always wondered if you could put a plastic bag over them with a rubber band so it keeps the dust out

Yeah you need the flap in front of them

Look up a 2019-2020 model and get the deflectors. Should bolt right up. They help alot.
