🚩🚩Tell us you’re a hypocrite without telling us you’re a hypocrite. This post is about the DIRECTOR of Wilderness Trails Zoo, Jeremiah Tietz, and his gross misuse of donated funds intended for Charli Lillian, a paralyzed woman from Tennessee. Charli was hit by a drunk driver in October 2023 while driving home. At the time of the crash, Charli and Jeremiah had been casually dating long distance, and were both very involved in the exotic animal world. Immediately following the crash, Jeremiah set out to collect donations from mutual friends and strangers to help Charli afford treatment and equipment that insurance wouldn’t cover. Jeremiah promised to put the funds into an account she would have access to… but.. that’s not what happened.. Fast forward- Charli moved to Michigan, became a director of Public Outreach at the zoo… and after about a year, the relationship fizzled… As Charli prepared to move back home to Tennessee, she requested the fund be returned, as it should have gone untouched.. but to her surprise, she was met with the response “What do you think I owe you from that?” Without her knowledge or consent, that fund had been frivolously spent right out from under her…. So now she’s left to fight an emotional battle, not one of heartbreak, but brutal betrayal, by a person she once thought highly of. A person she once trusted had stolen her lifeline for his own personal gain. She is now left to fight, once again, when all she wanted was a clean break…. So here’s to the hypocrite, who will try to look like a valiant knight, bringing “accessibility” to the community, while simultaneously making the life of an innocent woman unnecessarily more difficult over an issue he caused…. -also, don’t get me wrong- I’m VERY happy to see the zoo adding accessibility- I am all for accessibility changes and bringing accessibility to the community… just highly disappointed in the directors. This beef isn’t with the zoo. It’s not the zoos fault. This is strictly about the unds being returned.
