Honestly, people need to realize that love was never just about dates, late-night talks, or spending time alone together. It’s about support through the highs and lows. Yotsuba did that. She never needed Futaro in a purely romantic way, and that’s what made it special. Their love started platonically, and it slowly bloomed into something beautiful. Nevertheless, Miku and Itsuki were definitely top contenders. But come on now, from the story’s perspective, would you rather choose someone you only recently bonded with, or the person who stayed with you from the beginning, helped change you, and shaped you into who you are now? The story shows that love can be simple. It doesn’t always have to be openly romantic. Love can be something as grand as buying someone an island, or as small as simply staying by their side, helping them grow into who they are. That’s the kind of love Yotsuba showed. Still, I understand why people feel frustrated. After all that romantic buildup, Futaro ended up with someone who barely had romantic screen time compared to the others. But maybe that’s what makes it beautiful. In a way, the story reminds us that love isn’t always something loud or obvious. Sometimes, the deepest love is the kind that stays hidden.
