@birdinadeficit: The stages of getting my thick ninja creami. If the mix is fine powder, I press it down firm and run on mix in. The compacting gives the blades better contact on the next pass, creating a smooth churn rather than throwing the powder everywhere. I use mix in instead of respin, as it is a more gentle process. People add liquid here but that softens the mix too much for me. Once the mix is pebbley, I add the mix ins, as I know it is close to being complete. If you try to get perfect texture before adding your mix ins, that final mix in process will overdo the ice cream. I always add them before the ice cream is complete, so you end on a firm texture.
