my daughter interviewed and told them her babysitter didnt watch kids after 5pm and doesnt do weekends. they said fine great we want tou and monday thru Friday works for us!! she works from 6am to 2pm.

A good manager can always make everyone’s needed schedule work. And for that manager to say “he don’t get kids these days, they don’t wanna work” to a stranger, speaks volumes about him.

I had the same thing type of situation in college. Hired by a site director with the understanding that I was student who would have set availability around classes. They brought new management in who literally started with changing the schedule after it was posted without properly notifying those affected. After that I knew my time was short. Turns out their new management got transferred to site and got caught committing embezzlement and theft. And the other manager had the entire staff quit in one day. And he got fired by VP after a customer who knew the VP entered the location to get a cold drink at 1am and there wasn’t an employee to be found. The customer called the VP the VP called one of the employees who had quit and managed to bribe her to come in an be there. The VP drove 2+ hours to fire the site director and manager and call all the staff to apologize and give all the staff raises to get them back.

my son left a job after a year of asking for a chance in schedule being told once they hire another employee then watching every new hire get what he was asking for. Businesses be plain your face
