this person genuinely just said “black slavery black slavery, blah blah blah” 😭 not only that but i know many slavic people with traditional families and their braids are not remotely similar, also, slavic people were enslaved to OTHER WHITE PEOPLE, obviously no slavery is ok but this person is putting down some kinds of slavery over others. slavic slaves were treated awfully obviously but they werent turned into FURNITURE ffs, a lot of the worst crimes committed on slaves were on black ones which is why theres so much discussion about it, also the concept of erasing white representation is so stupid because we are already the majority of most shows, saying ‘there is so much black representation nowadays’ is so negative sounding and unnecessary. also, a TON of the other races who participated in slavery stopped hundreds of years ago, as opposed to black slavery only getting banned in the us in the 1800s, while it continued to the 50S 🤦🤦🤦 this is just an awful take

Yes (I agree with parts of you takes) but you also egnor the fact that we (black people) were and still are considering less than other races. I live in a predominantly black country and I still get racially cast aside. Your points can still be made with out denying the fact that racism against black people has created racism in out own communities. I’m assuming you not black so you wouldn’t know that part of the reason we do like other races where our TYPE of brads is because when we ware them we can and have been profiled but when especially white girls where them there are not profiled erasing the struggle we go through to where our culture(also the can and will rip out you hair). Most of the black representation you’re talking about are mostly stereotypes that make the entire race seem the same (there are outliers) and a lot of the characters that don’t fall into these stereotypes are mixed or are not in a predominantly black community. I do agree that representation for other races are necessary. I think this take fails to take into account who the kind of slavery black people went through affected how we perceive other races struggles. If your race was treated as an another species don’t you think over centuries they would both subconsciously believe those ideals and hate the people who were considered above them. Slavic people have cultural (I really mean this for all cultures) but are still racially white, a lot of Hispanic people are native or white racially.
