Thats a bs excuse. Helldivers 2 sold 12.7 million copies. Horizon Zero Dawn 4.5, God of War 4.2, Days Gone 3.4, Marvel Spider man remastered 1.4, and Stellar Blade sold over 1 million in just 3 days. Sony has made well over 1 billion dollars porting 2-10 year old games selling for the same price as their day 1 release. This is just because they think people will actually buy a PS to keep getting their games. 🙄

meanwhile, FF7 Revelation is releasing on PC at the same time as PS5 to avoid missing out on revenue. hopefully more publishers start doing this

I would love to see the actual stats on this. Like, how much could it have possibly cost them to port to PC vs profit. I’m just skeptical the numbers could have actually been that low.

they were making money the issue is the next generation Xbox is supposed to be windows based which means steam and the Sony games can be played on it. Sony will come up with tons of excuses but that's the main reason. they also probably butthurt cause PC players won't put up with Sony's bullshit create an account and be logged in for single players games.

pc never got a fair chance. Releasing games a year + after on pc is guaranteed to have way lower sales. My bet is theyre just scared of the new xbox running steam
