Bring your curtain rod up higher with longer drapes it makes the room feel bigger. I’d also look for a rug to layer on top and the. Do a round coffee table. You have a big empty wall you need a big picture or I’d honestly do large mirror

Look what chat did, you could cover the black part with a ottoman, or with a blanket, and use the chase as other piece, not attached to sofa, then you use some pillows and it will be cozy and comfortable.
