I agree that delivering value matters, but I don't think it's the whole story. Pay isn't determined by value alone, it's also influenced by budgets, market rates, negotiation, company policies, and opportunity. There are people creating tremendous value every day who are still paid below market. Being underpaid and not delivering value aren't always the same thing. Perhaps it’s also career dependent.
