It was lovely, as are you. I felt Jay held you with such calming kindness. It really did feel like an important exercise for you and I believe you did such great honor to your Trigg, yourself, your family…I know you absolutely have created awareness for all the obvious, but as importantly the less obvious or understood components of grief, guilt and carrying on. I hope you are washed over in a modicum of peace. Sending love and support!

The podcast brought me to my knees. The poise, the wisdom, the strength it took to have thhe hardest conversation in life publically is commendable. You AND triggy are saving lives in so many ways. So proud of you em! And that trigg sign — full stop. He wanted to let you know he was on your lap the entire conversation holding you ❤️

The best point I think you made was that the “stages of grief” only apply to a person who’s lived their full life. When someone compares me losing my dad at 27 before marriage and kids to losing their 95 year old grandma I’m like …. It’s just not the same

I think this was the best decision you could have made. I think hearing you speak on the situation has changed many people’s views. People are so easy to judge on situations they know nothing about. You are truly an inspiration to so many people!! So much love for you and your fam. Trigg will always be remembered 💙💙

our stories are very different, but your words on forgiveness really changed a lot in my heart. my parents took their lives when i was 13 and it’s been so hard for me to forgive them. when you said “if that was me i’d wanna be forgiven” and then i put myself into their shoes and i would 1,000% wanna be forgiven too. i’m not holding any anger towards them anymore and you had a huge part in that🩷

I was one of the followers who would question how you could stay with your husband. (Never commented just thought it) As an outsider not knowing what it’s truly like to go through this. Once you explained how if you were the one in his shoes you would so badly want him to forgive you my heart sank and in that moment I completely understood everything. As a wife and mother and as a human knowing we all make mistakes or something of that sort I would so badly want my husband to forgive me as well. You are so so strong Emilie this podcast touched me so much and I truly admire you in so many different ways. Thank you for sharing part of the process and story with you. Triggy will save so many lives! 🥺🙏💛
