I saw a comedian explain it really well. Fahrenheit gives you the percentage of how hot it is. 0° is 0% hot, you need to layer up, 96° is 96% HOT, less clothes.

What a dumb argument, MY experience of the weather IS in Celsius. Fahrenheit tells me absolutely nothing. 60 to me is washing machine temperature for towels, 39 is a fever, 100 is death

I would understand if it didn’t go over 100 constantly. Like I get it going over100 for cooking etc but when you say 90 is not and then 106 then it’s just weird

Except “calibrated to my experience” is subjective. People who grew up with Celsius also have that calibrated to their experience. When people from Europe are told 30 degrees they know exactly how that feels because it is calibrated to their experience. So really it’s a bit of a poor argument. The only difference is Fahrenheit now runs of vibes and Celsius has the whole water temperature attached to it
