We had an inset day today too. Some training this morning. Finished at 12:30 to use the time as you need - including offsite. I’m the HT. SLTs that listen and consider this stuff are out there, people 😊

We have a couple of twilights a year and then lots of optional development hours throughout the year we can book on to. We add all those hours together which then means we get a wellbeing inset day (totally off) next week and also we finish a day early. It’s SO needed.

It’s difficult isn’t it? Because so many teachers say they don’t receive enough training or support but then when to have the training 🥹 I agree - the workload is mental!!

we said that to our school and they gave us 2 hour wellbeing activities to do such as a walking group, cycling group, mindful colouring etc...

If im 100% honest those CPD days aren’t helpful. I feel it’s very repetitive unless a new initiative is being embedded. I feel I develop more through experience. I’d rather do my to do list too.

We don’t get any staff wellbeing at all if anything SLT make it 10x harder and negative environment and as a ECT that is very hard to deal with
