Y’all use the subjectivity of art as an excuse to double down on y’all’s anti-intellectualism. There are a lot of “pause to read” moments in this video bc I typically let an idea bounce around my head for a few hours (or a day or four) before I actually get around to making a video on it, but this one is coming straight from the heart (this is always on my mind but any time I verbally think about this too much I get depressed). Can yall PLEASE stop using your misunderstanding of art being subjective as a way to deflect any opinion on art that yall don’t like? Art is such a magical and fulfilling thing (lowkey it’s literally the presence of Divinity but we don’t have time to get into that rn) that you are denying yourself for no good reason. Stop refusing to confront your own soul in favor of fueling anti intellectualism, please.
