@r.oh.bee: This video is about a week old, well before the paint started coming up and before the algae got way worse! At the end of the day, it’s not better. As an avid reflecting pool sunrise watcher- I can tell you the reflection won’t change because of the color of the pool. what’s even worse is all the signs around the pool that were up that explained how this was a project that “made DC safer and more beautiful” and it had Trumps face on it… make it make sense!

How true is that "shape of the bottom" part? Because like, you look at videos of people at salt flats with less than an inch of water and it looks like a mirror, if anything I feel it would be the angel one looks at it, but I mean, some colors would allow it to at least seemingly reflect better no?

The paint is already peeling too! And the ufc people made them turn off the bubbler bc it “ruined the aesthetic” during the weight-in which also sped up the algae growth!!
