Never heard of this, and yes I think you might be crazy. What does it taste like? I’m sure that’s an unnecessary question, but gravy that tastes like coffee just sounds awful!

I'm from Mississippi and a lot of what you cook, I grew up eating but I've never had red eye gravy. Milk gravy and tomato gravy but never red eye gravy. I guess it's time I tried it. 😂 Thank you for sharing ❤️

Red eye gravy was a southern staple but I have never seen anyone use flour in just ham drippings and coffee

Definitely raised on red-eyed gravy, delicious! But I’ve never seen anybody use flour in it. And I always dumped my biscuit in my red-eyed gravy.

I watched my granny make red eye gravy my entire life until she passed at almost 93. Even at that age she was still doing her "country cooking" as she called it. Always loved it with her fluffy biscuits. She often was holding a baby on one hip while she made her biscuits from scratch with her other hand. Granny's cooking was always the best! I never mastered holding a child & fixing biscuits. I'm not sure how she did it, but folks of her generation could do amazing things & not just in the kitchen. Miss my granny so much. Love everything I've seen you cook. Take care & God bless your family.

little tip my dad taught me..To make country ham fork tender❤️Use iron skillet cook your ham just a little on both sides night before n stick in fridge over night😳next morning heat up slowly finish cooking and it's Magic I promise..Fork tender🥰❤️something about it sitting in its own juices over night makes it so tender 🥰❤️Try it🥰❤️you won't go back🥰❤️😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Im not a fan of redeye gravy but I do love country ham on a biscuit. I dunk my biscuits when I have biscuits and white gravy. Btw have you done pimento cheese?

I grew up in Long Beach California. Mom from Georgia dad Arkansas. Most everything I’ve seen you make I ate growing up. And that said my kids and I still eat all this. Best food ever. Love your channel. Thank you😁

Grew up in Oklahoma eating red eye gravy. But my Mamaw and Mom never added flour. Yes it wasn’t think but it was still delicious. We poured it over biscuits.
