I think if I’d known Compendium wasn’t the actual finale I wouldn’t have had the same complaints. Though I still really enjoyed it I didn’t think it was that strong of a finale so I’m so glad there will be more!

red winter was a middle read for me. decent, but nothing crazy. BUT IRON GARDEN SUTRA IS GREAT!!!! I'd say it's more like a scifi Tainted Cup in my opinion

King of Scars was actually my favorite series of the whole Grishaverse. Its a little smaller in scope but just really solid and the MC is so likable. Golden Enclaves was SOOO incredibly worth it. I kept worrying that the quality would fall of and it never did. Emily Wilde 3 is definitely a little weaker but it still worked for me. Its really different from the others cause most of it takes place in Fairy and I think Heather Fawcett struggled to keep Emily, Emily in that different setting but mostly pulled it off. Weirdly what it reminded me of the most was the 3rd cruel prince book

I liked Rule of Wolves more than King of Scars. The duology is good overall with some issues. The Golden Enclaves is AMAZING! Starts off slow & odd, but stay with it, OMG does it deliver!!!!

I love King of Scars. Underrated. Lots of mixed reviews, but if you love character focused stories (I know you do) then I think k you will like it.

I love the Sharon Shinn representation!!! She is awesome, and I highly recommend her Twelve Houses series (epic fantasy with romance). Mystic and Rider is the first book in the series.
