No ads in Iceland. We just watched them stop the game and the players walk off the field, clearly not happy with it, to have a few sips from the water bottles while the commentators talked about the World Cup. It was just wrong. Dehydration breaks have always been done when and if needed on a case by case basis. Mandatory is a ridiculous, unnecessary, and unwanted addition to a game that is greater without it.

I have info about this: fifa hired big American ad agency to do all marketing, sponsorship and merch and like a month before the championship they had final meeting about how successful was the campaign where they show to fifa that they earned 100s of millions for selling ads in quarter breaks. This is when the ad agency found out that in real football is no quarter breaks, they tried to pull it back but people who bought it said that they will sue fifa for billions in damages this is how we got a hydration breaks 😳
