@cass.nori: But me? I get to use Nori. Because while the kids owe me nothing, I have to manage the entire house on my own. And I owe it to my sanity to use whatever resources I can to make my life easier. @Nori Link in Comment/bio. 💛 #nori #momlife #organizingtips #singlemom
when you say everything what's your definition because that's a broad term. I don't believe my children owe me anything I completely agree with that

I just don’t understand the parents who think opposite of this. Parents decide to bring their children into this world and as long as the parent is alive that child owes them nothing. I will always help my boys out no matter their age and I expect zero from them

I OWE my children nothing but freely GIVE them everything. My children aren’t an obligation where my attention is owed. My children are my blessing to which I freely love and give my all for. Change your mindset.

I owed my parents everything, they sacrificed, supported, loved, became the most amazing grandparents and never let me down. I OWED THEM.

everyone gets one life, you are 100% responsible for how you choose to live the life you get. either kindly, selfishly, angrily, etc. what you choose does affect your life and who is there or not for you based on your choices, whether they good for others or whether they pushed others away.
we are never owed anything by our children. Just cause someone's circumstances are sad doesn't mean we should forget how they got themselves there and that was their choice.

Definitely not , I owe them unconditional love and a safe home to live in. Everything sounds depleting and I’m not that person

as an adult, you don't borrow money over $300 from your parent who is not rich and then not give it back. work it off for them if you have to. but yes, before you graduate high school, they are responsible for everything for you.

I agree. It’s the word “owe”. They never owe you anything because you chose to bring them into the world. But they may “want” to respect you for it. Not transactional to love your kids
