The current Finnish government is working very hard to make the education system worse, as well as other public infrastructure. Not because there's a lack of money. They say they do, but they just spent all the money on tax breaks for the rich, the police and the military instead

making classes and schools bigger & the implementation of digital devices into education is what started the collapse of our school system

Just because a country is smaller does not equal easier to make smaller classrooms? The US and Finland are in the end facing the same cost issues?

I don't think the overall population matters for 1 on 1 time. If per capital GDP and average urban population are the same then it could be the same. But if America is more urban then Finland could be forced into smaller class sizes from lack of students. Like if Europe federalizes then will they all of a sudden have less 1 on 1 time since the population became similar to the US?

Estonia kept Finland's education system and is doing amazing. The policy changes in Finland were done against professional educators wishes and without their consultation, it was a perfect system and they stripped it to nothing.

the "smaller population" doesnt make sense.
the usa has a 91x higher gdp than finland.
their population is 62x bigger.
the usa is eicher so that itself cannot be used as an excuse

Its a change of priorities for the goverment. Sure, there has been a demographic change, nowadays around 87% of the population is ethnically finnish. Around 10% of that foreign population is estonian or russian, fairly similar cultures and these are cultures that dont have problems assumilating. It's just that there is less spending (fewer teachers, support/personalized staff) on education specifically. Priorities have shifted unfortunately.
