In other news, I made a Du’a (prayer) book that I think a lot of you will like. I made it because I know what it feels like to want to talk to Allah but not know where to start. Sometimes you feel anxious, afraid, grateful, guilty, lost, or in need of something only Allah can give. And in those moments, there is something so comforting about turning to the exact du’as Allah preserved in the Qur’an. This book is a collection of 30 du’as made by the Prophets, peace be upon them, taken straight from the Qur’an and organized for different moments in life, whether you are seeking ease, forgiveness, patience, protection, guidance, or a blessing. These du’as came from real moments of fear, pain, hope, gratitude, and desperation. Yunus called upon Allah from darkness. Musa called upon Allah when he was afraid and in need. Ayyub called upon Allah through hardship. Zakariya called upon Allah for what seemed impossible. The purpose of this book is to make du’a feel closer and easier to return to. Not just when life is falling apart, but in every state. I hope it becomes something you keep near you, open when you need it, and return to whenever your heart needs the words to call upon Allah again.
