My cousin is studying to be an hairdresser and she told me that when you want to change your hair to look natural it had to be 2 tones darker or lighter than your base. Not more! So I think an in between will suit you!

I was in a similar situation to you, went fully back to my natural dark blonde after years of highlights and hated it, I just didn't feel me 😆 now I've settled on an in between colour which is easier to maintain and doesn't have as harsh of a grow out!

once you go dark it’s really hard for your hair to get back to the blonde you currently have without doing a lot of damage so def consider different options rather than just a super dark color straight away in case you regret it

Honestly, either one will look amazing on you. I usually dont like when women go really blonde but you are one of the few ppl it actually works really well on. but seeing ur roots I can definitely see how that would look amazing on you too.
