@doctor.painkiller: Migraine Devices (Rated 0–10). You’ve all been waiting for this one. Cefaly, gammaCore, Nerivio, Relivion, SAVI Dual. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know the deal — I don’t do BS, I’m not sponsored by a single one of these companies, and I only give credit when it’s actually earned. Also: a 6/10 for the average patient could absolutely be a 10/10 for the right person — especially if medications don’t work for you, you can’t tolerate side effects, or you just want a non-drug option. Which one actually worked for YOU? #migraine #migrainerelief #rating #brainhealth

I use the cefaly and I can say it's a 10 because it works more consistently (14 years now) than ANY medication without side effects. Every prescription I've had, kept having to be increased until the side effects were so beyond worse than suffering the migraines.

The Nerivio is what finally stopped my son’s chronic migraines. Went from 12-15 days a month to 0 most months.

they all get a zero for how expensive and inaccessible they are to people that can't afford them

If the CEFALY doesn’t get a better app designer and/or find a more cost effective way to sell single-use electrodes I’ll lose my mind. Great product managed so strangely

No sponsorships. No gadget worship. No pretending weak data is a miracle because it has Bluetooth. I just call it like I see it. Some of these devices are promising. Some are overhyped. And some make you look like you’re trying to reboot your nervous system in public. Have you tried any of these? Drop the device + your honest rating.

I have the Cefaly. It works pretty well in an acute episode. I didn't notice any improvement when I used it for prevention. I use it when my migraine feels like my frontal lobe is twisting. It usually numbs my forehead enough to let me sleep for a while.

Is Cefaly the best for tension type migraines? I have a tension headache 99% of the time which often turns into a migraine. On Qulipta for preventive and Rizatriptan and Ubrelvy for abortive.

I’m pregnant and my migraines have gotten so bad. Was just prescribed nerivio! Waiting for it to come in the mail. So looking forward to see if it helps!!! I’m one of the unlucky ones whose migraines get worse in pregnancy.

I have a Cephaly and just got a Nerivio. The Nerivio helped break a head ache very early on the other day. I was able to get through my work day wearing it under my sweat shirt!

So would a tens help for tension headaches? If used on the upper back and neck/shoulders ?

i havent used any of them personally, but I see them all the time on here. i appreciate a rating because these aren't cheap and migraine relief is so hit or miss; enough that i dont want to be spending too much on something potentially bogus

Tried all but Relivion. None had any lasting impact. Cefaly and Nerivio only distracted from the pain while active and assume Relivion will do same. Gammacore/Truvaga and SAVI Dual did nothing.

Does getting Botox in between the eyebrows for wrinkles prevent migraines? I know it’s used on top of the head and neck to target migraines.

I get 15+ migraines a month and I love my Cefaly. I have 2! About 50% of the time it will help eliminate the pain along with my meds and the other 50% it will reduce the pain enough for me to fall asleep and get at least some relief. I could not live without it!

I have a headaterm device and it doesn't cure my migraines but it helps me relax to the point I can sleep when I have one.

I started to use cefaly but I struggle a bit with it because of my acne, the zap hurts and doesn't do much for prevention😭. During a semi strong attack though it can help as it numbs the forehead slightly, feels like tingly static lol
