@dr.harrischoe: Most runners and PTs are missing this in their rehab programs. Most runners get injuries from running too much too fast. But also under load the body during rehab. That’s why most are stuck in a constant cycle of pain and injury. These three exercises that I always include in a running rehab programs. 1️⃣ Plyometrics: helps improve tendon stiffness and works on landing/deceleration mechanics for shock absorption. 2️⃣ Single Leg Exercises: this is the best way to isolate muscles on the affect leg. I include these after the main heavy lifts as accessory movements. 3️⃣ Calf Strength: always single leg when possible to load the achilles and calf complex. Very important! #Running #runninginjury #anklepain #shinsplints
