I learnt some of this when I arrived but the doorstop has been helpful as I’m someone who has chronic knee pain and so on bad flare ups I’m usually stuck in bed so it’s helped to keep my door open when In a flare

the biggest thing is mindset, unless you're going to a super rural uni, take the minimum and set aside maybe like £50 for if you need the odd extra, bc everything is easy enough to buy, honestly be creative with the things you alr have, save the money for going out

I LOVE a measuring jug. I’ve maybe used it to measure something like twice ever (I’ve been at uni for five years) but it’s fab for heating stuff up in. Heat my pasta sauce, baked bins, soup, frozen vegetables all in the microwave in my jug. A sieve on the other hand, hate it, used it once and regretted it. Why does EVERYTHING get stuck in it making it near impossible to clean 😭

Pack of cheap pens, notebook, couple highlighters if you like them is all the stationary you need. If you end up needing new stuff when your there just go home bargains😂

I disagree with doorstop. Heavy fire doors. I wasn’t close with my flat mates but six trips to and a from the kitchen with the doors slamming each time. As well as holding two plates and a mug trying to open the door hands free. Get a door stop
