i couldn't ever leave my child alone especially at a park! im up playing with my kids .... i may be 32 but ill play like im 12 !!! my daughter and i were on a tire swing spinning and laughed so damn hard we got dizzy

Okay yes! It’s so weird to me when parents just sit in their car with their kids at the park. Like at least hang out at the benches most parks provide.

You’re not overreacting. I’m not one to helicopter parent, but I’m present and I’ve got my eyes on them at all times. Crazy to be in the car while your young child plays.

I hate taking my kids to the park. I feel like I have to keep an eye on everyone's kids because half aren't being watched. Mom is either on a complete other side, in her car, or just nowhere to be found. I'm not the type that has the "not my problem" attitude, and it seriously stresses me out. Even if I sit at a bench as soon as mine are out of my sight I'm switching benches. Anything can happen and it happens fast. Not only that, but our local park has a huge pond. It terrifies me how these kids are just running free. They'll be in the pond wading or skipping rocks, without 1 parent in sight. Between my kids screaming mom every second, and feeling like a sitter, I'm so overstimulated by the time we leave. 😂

My husband and I were talking about this. Theres parents they say, “We dont intervene with our childrens play at the play ground” and I’m like okay but if your kid is being a jerk, I will speak up. Whatever happened to watching your kids and raising them to be good people? That includes playground etiquette

I have heat sensitivities. I try to bring another adult with me and only go on days I can be out with him. but our park is set up so I can sit in my car and see and talk to him. its also a small town so if I need to take a seat in the ac the other moms at the park usually tell me I look like I need to rest theyll watch him for me. but I am not doing that at a city park out side of my one flashing light square town.

No. I watched a mom do this the other day at the park. She pulled up to the parking lot, the kids got out and she just sat in there the whole time. It made me feel uncomfortable too and as if I had to watch them plus my children.

We took our 1 year old to the park and a little girl followed us around talking the whole time, the mom wasn’t even watching her, you can’t see our son over the playground equipment so we figured we were gonna get weird looks from her mom for her daughter talking to us. Nope nothing, we didn’t know what to do, we follow our son everywhere.
