as a swimmer we were always taught to stand up, tilt your head to put the ear with water towards the ground and then jump up and down like a fish out of water 🤣 will say it always worked but we also always looked dumb 😅

My mom made us lay our heads down, with the ear that has water in it flat on the hot deck. The heat would suck the water out

No, the proper way to get water out of your ear is to jump up and down on one leg and shake your head in that same direction while simultaneously hitting the other side of your head that is pointed toward the sky until it clears the basketball sound.

If shaking your head doesn’t work you can always use a couple drops of rubbing alcohol to get it out as well!

Does no one else just tilt their head to the side with the ear with the water in it closest to the ground and then slap the other side of your head/ear that isn’t affected or is that just me 😭😂

I get swimmers ear so easily. Literally I’ve gotten it from the shower 😂 however shaking my head never works for me. I had to lay with my ear in a heating pad. Gravity helps 😂

Ok sounds weird but works every time… tilt your head with the ear the water is in towards the ground, kind of shake your head towards the ground AND shake your opposite leg (like pretty hard) you look absolutely ridiculous but it’s always worked - my grandma taught me this😂

I used to lay a towel on a soft pool chair and just hit my head down on it until I felt the warmth in the opening 😂😂
