Besides the skin color issue, why is your mother competing with her child over men’s attention? That’s another issue. I have a 20 year old daughter and I could never. She is young and beautiful and I’m in my 40’s not trying to get the male gaze lol so when I here mothers competing with their younger daughters it makes me so sad:(

this is wild because my mom would have me babysit my little brother (10 years younger than me) so she could go out.. and when we did go out together or in the same space unintentionally, she didn't like when I got the attention she wanted either.. friends would tell me that it felt like she was competing with me.. we're puertorican..
