I've been replaying OoT recently and it's actually WILD how he's just a kid that basically has destiny thrust upon him by a tree. Like this tree actually looked at him as a baby and said "Yes he's going to have a big destiny" not because of anyone telling him so or because of some sign, it was all just vibes. From a baby. So Link, at all of 10, is told "You have a destiny, and as my dying wish you have to go out there and fulfill it". And since this fuckass tree is BASICALLY his dad, Link goes out and fulfills the dying wish?? Can you imagine how different Link might have turned out if a TREE hadn't decided he needed to go save the world at all of 10 years old??
