@shewantsthedetroit: The trailer park from 8 Mile in Warren, Michigan—known during filming as A&L Mobile Home Park—was used for several of the film’s most personal scenes with Eminem’s character B-Rabbit, capturing the reality of his home life just off 8 Mile Road. Filmed in 2002, 8 Mile turned this quiet mobile home community into a lasting symbol of struggle, ambition, and Detroit’s hip-hop roots. Today, it remains an active residential trailer park with no markers or tourist setup—just a lived-in neighborhood that quietly carries its place in film history. #8Mile #Eminem #Detroit #WarrenMichigan #PureMichigan

I grew up here and my brother still lived there while they were filming. They offered anyone who wanted to go to a hotel for the time they filmed they paid for it but he stayed. He said he ate well the whole time they were filming cuz there were so many extras and he would just walk up and get BBQ and anything they had out.

god, i love the old trailers from the 70's. i wish they still produced them like that as a low cost living option. they have so much character, too. the colors and the variety of design of the ends get me. they're so cute and so easy to customize and with how difficult housing is these days, bringing them back could benefit a lot of people.

I grew up on John B and this is right down the street from there. I remember how crazy it was to get around when they were filming. I did see Kim Basinger though so that was cool.
