@sadittytacos: Happy Juneteenth to the ones that deserved to live. They deserved to still be with us and here with us. But the way our justice system is set up, it’s made to be against us in every form and fashion. Can’t even be a baby anymore whose mom had a receipt, down to playing in the park alone, to going home at night and thinking you can sleep safely in your bed. God forbid you want a snack and you’re unalived on the way to the store for having expired tags. Or while in the store trying to grab a water bottle and a pack of Skittles. Yes, it’ll forever be that serious. Because when we’re minding our own business, walking down the street with a hoodie on and headphones in, someone is still watching you. Someone is out there on that phone lying on you to the point you’re beaten to 💀 because blue eyes and blonde hair said he did it. Yes, it’s that serious. Because blonde hair and blue eyes said that money was not real. A man yelled for his mommy, I can’t breathe, and get off of me, you’re going to k!!! Me for 10 mins straight while nobody helped. Because for far too long, the words of some have been valued more than the lives of others. Because accusations have been believed without question, while our humanity has been questioned at every turn.
