I would 1000000% recommend ‘Anti-colonial research praxis: Methods for knowledge justice’ by Caroline Lenette!! It’s a collection of works by heaps of different anthropologists on decolonial research methods

these recommendations are amazing 😩 I also think “Silencing the past” by Michel-Rolph Troulliot can be a good read bc it deconstructs the idea of history and historical knowledge as something objective and aseptic to cultural context

Please slow down mate. This super fast ‘content-speak’ is not suitable for your content, you’re not talking about some banal coffee recipe here. Please take the time and allow us the chance to take in what you’re saying. Or do you want us to forget what you’ve said as soon as we’ve scrolled to the next video?

Can someone please kindly explain to me what kind of education one would seek to be as intelligent and interesting as some of the commentators on this gloriously enlightening post? Asking as someone seeking direction in mid-life 💜

Also.. learn other languages! Read from intelectuals who write in other languages, because language itself shapes how to think, how you understand complex concepts, etc
