@drago_fr: Antimatter is the peak of our current physics—brutal, raw speed that still obeys Einstein’s laws. But Warp Drive? That’s cheating the universe entirely by bending space-time itself. One takes years of cryogenic sleep, the other takes just a single day. #warpdrive #antimatter #spaceship #humanity #humanityfirst Space
Imagine being sent on a 50 year journey to another solar system only to find out that in those fifty years humanity achieved faster travel and have already been there for 40 years

Chris VR :
Warp drive theoretically is possible.
The problem is that with modern technology, we can't produce the amount of energy required

Anitimatter ships are fully possible with known physics, warp drive needs a kind of matter of which we’ve not even seen the slightest hint of its existence

At those speeds, space dust and debris would destroy any theoretical spacecraft.

exept that's not true... you didn't account for time dilation: we are 4.246 Light Years away from Proxima Centaurus, at 70% of the speed of light, ofc we would need to account for acceleration and deceleration, of 1g let's say: real time of travel would be 6.85 years but the astronauts would only experience about 5.22, but if we were to go up to 0.99 of the speed of light, that time would drop to just under a year. So with our current VERY limited means of space travel, it would actually be easier and more accessible to orient our research towards faster travel by more conventional means than Antimatter-propulsion/ Matter-traction ships.
