I guess whoever said that doesnt live in a place like Florida. Tons of beaches, pools, etc. Water safety is 100% necessary, even at this age, since you live in a place with lots of water.

My 1 yo is in ISR! She’s never had an issue taking in water. They take their time teaching them to have their face in the water and hold their breath! Both of my kids look forward to lessons!

I just wish it wasn't so cost prohibitive. The majority of people can't afford it.

My son did it at 6 months. As soon as they can roll do it! It saves lives. He did it until 3. He’s almost 9 and an excellent swimmer now
