@tomhughes08: Three years ago, @sqWOD started as an idea between mates. Not because we wanted to start a clothing brand. Not because we thought we’d make loads of money. And definitely not because we thought it would be easy. It started because of something much simpler. I’ve been training for most of my life, but when I look back, the thing I’ve always enjoyed most wasn’t the weights, the workouts, or the results. It was the people. The early morning sessions. The post-workout chats. The shared suffering during a tough WOD. The friendships built through turning up consistently and putting in the work together. That’s where the name sqWOD came from. Over the last few years, I’ve poured everything I can into this brand around a full-time job in construction. Long days on site followed by evenings spent designing products, answering emails, organising photoshoots, packing orders, managing social media, and trying to move sqWOD forward one step at a time. There have been challenges. There have been setbacks. There have been moments where progress felt painfully slow. But one thing that’s never changed is the vision. I wanted to create clothing that I genuinely believed in. Clothing that fitted properly, felt premium, and was built for people who train hard. That’s why I’ve spent countless hours going through samples, changing fabrics, tweaking fits, and obsessing over details that most people probably never notice. Because if I wouldn’t wear it myself, I wouldn’t expect anyone else to. As grateful as I am for every order, sqWOD has never been just about clothing. It’s about the people wearing it. If you’ve supported sqWOD in any way, whether you’ve bought from us, shared a post, worn our kit, or simply followed along on the journey - thank you. It genuinely means more than you know.
