That says more about them than you. My sister and her new husband stayed friends with my ex husband while we were in the middle of a contentious divorce. Like invited him and his new girlfriend to thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. I just learned who I can count on and who I can’t. Now you know that too. It’s time to find a new circle, which I know is hard, I am trying to do the same myself. If you think you have adhd, you should try to get diagnosed, the meds are really helpful, especially during stressful times and when you get older.

that’s so extremely hard… seeing the deeply rooted misogyny that makes people have empathy for abusers is jarring… we try so hard to believe our abuse is real then seeing someone believe our abusers brings up so may difficult emotions. sending love
