@blackgirlwithlupus: One of the hardest lessons lupus has taught me is that I can’t control everything. I can’t control when a flare decides to show up. I can’t control how my body is going to feel tomorrow. I can’t control other people’s understanding of this disease. But I can control how I care for myself. I can choose to rest. I can choose to ask for help. I can choose to be kind to myself on the difficult days. Living with lupus has taught me to let go of the things I cannot control and pour my energy into the things I can. Some days that’s easier said than done, but I’m learning. What is one thing you can control in your lupus journey right now? 💜 Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. I am sharing my personal experience living with lupus.
