I know your pain. I had to learn to coach my son on telling me about his day. I would list a number of school related activities and he would choose from the list. Eventually he was able to tell me without me listing them.

It hits hard but my son shows me when he can how much he loves me. I stopped see what I missed out on and focus on what makes him happy.

My son is on the spectrum. Even though he does tell me things but my daughters talk so much, they like to cuddle and everything so I do miss that with my son

I can’t imagine how much that hurts. I never really thought about it like that. I know one of my pals deals with that. From time to time we’ll play online and my boys will randomly ask me things.
