@bakedwithv: If anyone knows my foster tally mark, it hasn’t been easy. I personally have maybe 1 “easy” dog. Fostering is all about a restart. A restart from the shelter and then from their previous life. There is going to be stress, especially the first few days as EVERYONE is adjusting. You restart their nervous system. Sometimes we forget and expect the dog to learn. Lily has been with me for a little over a week and it’s been an adjusting week. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t stressful but that’s the thing, we are here to help them learn the new life. How to be a dog in a human world, they don’t always have to hide in the corner. Dogs are resilient but you have to give them the opportunity to live, to adjust, and to learn.
